The L-leg is Artek's own joint: solid wood bent through a right angle so the leg meets the seat directly. It is the detail the Stool 65 is built on, and the reason the piece reads as one object rather than a seat on a frame. Aino and Alvar Aalto designed it for Artek in 1935. These examples were produced in Finland in the 2010s.
Twenty are available and no two have worn in quite the same way. Expect light scuffs and scratches throughout, consistent with previous use. Overall they are in very good condition, and the photographs show them as they are rather than at their best angle. Tell us how many you need and we will send images of the individual stools set aside for you.
A round seat and an ebonised finish sit easily against timber, stone or steel, which is why these suit a kitchen island as readily as a bar. Sold as bar stools. Send us the height of your counter and we will measure the stools against it before you buy, because that is the number that decides whether they work.

We deliver nationwide with a specialist furniture courier, blanket wrapped, carried in and placed in the room you choose. Within North East England we deliver ourselves, usually inside the week, and collection is welcome by arrangement.
If a piece arrives and does not suit the room, tell us within fourteen days. We will arrange collection and refund what you paid. All we ask is that the piece comes back in the condition it arrived.
Vintage furniture is straightforward to live with. Keep pieces out of direct sun and away from radiators, wipe with a barely damp cloth, and wax timber once a year. Every piece comes with care notes written for its own materials.

They are sold as bar stools. Seat height is the number people ask about most, so we measure the actual stool set aside for you and confirm it in writing before you commit. Send us the height of your bar or island and we will tell you plainly whether it suits.
They are the same model and the same finish. The wear is not: each carries light scuffs and scratches from previous use. If you need a matched run we will pick the closest examples and photograph them together before anything is agreed.

Every piece is one of one, so there is no basket. Send an enquiry and we will reply the same day where we can, usually with more photographs and the condition report. When you are ready, payment is by bank transfer and we arrange delivery.
Yes, for forty eight hours while you measure the room. Beyond that we take a small refundable deposit and mark the piece reserved until you decide.

Ready for daily use unless the listing says otherwise. Every piece is checked before it is listed, photographed honestly with any wear shown, and sold with a written condition report. Anything repaired or replaced is stated plainly on the piece's page.
